Potty training help

Nursery reckon DS (2.8) is ready to be potty trained. He's done a few wees on the loo for them there. I'm somewhat unconvinced, primarily because he absolutely hates being naked from the waist down unless he's in the bath, and also because he doesn't tell me he needs a poo or wee, he tells me as he's doing it. But I'm willing to give it a try so I thought we'd start this weekend. We do have a potty but he has always point blank refused to even look at it so I have bought one of those trainer seats that fits onto the toilet.

Any tips? I don't really know where to start!!!

Don't give in and put a nappy one (only at night) and be prepared to clean up lots of wees and poos.

Also ask him constantly if he needs to go. If he's going just randomly then get the potty and put him on. We also bought a potty urinal for my boy.

My daughter took 3 months (I should have waited longer)

My son took 3 days- took 2 just to get him to try on the potty and once he had, we rewarded with a treat and he never looked back.

Could buy him that prince potty noisy book. But perseverance is key

Really? Nursery have said if he doesn't get it in a week and is getting upset he isn't ready and we'll give it a month or so and try again.
