London Christmas’s lights

I want to drive a disabled cousin round some of the Christmas lights. Max duration an hour (she gets stiff). She hasn’t seen them for years. She lives near Paddington.

What’s the best route, anyone?

Did you want to see the lights in Oxford street and Regent Street, they might be the easiest from Paddington.

Is an open top bus a possibility?

Thank you both. No, a bus isn’t on. I think Oxford Street will be too crammed and we shall have to be in our car, she can’t do taxis. I’d thought of Regent Street and Bond Street. Anywhere good in Mayfáir?

Sloane Square is lovely, but not very big. Duke Of York Square (opposite Peter Jones) is good too - but unfortunately it's pedestrianised, so you'll only be able to see part of it from the King's Road. I don't know if Sloane Street has Christmas lights as well though?

Seven Dials has pretty lights and more car friendly perhaps.Trafalgar Square tree of course. Regent Street is more doable than Oxford Street (I don’t think you can do that at all in a private car can you?) and you can see along Oxford St from the junction. So maybe a Seven Dials, Trafalgar Square, Regent St circuit?

There's not much in Mayfair, you'd have to drive down Park Lane and then could turn left up Picadilly past The Ritz and fortnums and then turn left at Piccadilly circus and drive up regent street. I think there are lights at Marylebone High street, look up the Time out website, from there you could drive down to Winter wonderland in Hyde park.
