Landlord repairs

I contacted the letting agency on Friday evening last week via their repair portal to let them know that the boiler had stopped working, therefore no heating and no hot water.

I received a response the following Monday saying that they were contacting the landlord for instruction.

It's been a week and I've heard nothing. Nobody will answer my calls or follow up emails. The house is freezing and everyone is having to have cold showers in November.

How long are they allowed to fix these sorts of repairs as their info says 35 days but It can't surely be that long? What if the landlord has gone on holiday for Christmas?

Call British Gas and see if there's a homecare cover on the property. They come out within 24 hours. Your agent and landlord should have contingency plan for this sort of thing so you need to kick up a fuss.
