Help with cleaning Belfast sink please

I have a white ceramic Belfast sink. Every time I put a pan in the sink it leaves a grey mark which I can only get off by scrubbing really, really hard with something like Cif.
Does anybody have any suggestions about how to either prevent this or a better way to remove the marks?
Thank you.

I am having this trouble too, so after washing up I dilute some bleach and let it soak - the sink always comes up like new after a few mins and I rinse off. Not sure how good it is for it but it works for me.

We have one of these to protect the sink

I second Bar Keepers friend - use with a soft scourer, leave on for 5 minutes and rinse with cold water
