Ds 5 has sen undiagnosed.
About 3 weeks ago he said his brain was spinning and so was the room when we asked about it he said it happens alot i did ask him to keep telling me when its happening but hes not very good at telling us whats going on its a guessing game.

On wednesdsay he was very upset about PE saying he didnt want to do as hes running his heart bleepings ( what he calls heart beating) go to fast and make him feel funny. The teachers ( the 2 he told) both told him thats a good thing, you have to do PE. he was so worried about it he looked very pale and like hes was going to cry but he held it together.

I thought this sounds odd so phone and spoke to the doctors recpetions who said next appointment was 24th to hold the line a minute she came back saying they didn't want to leave it so long so the doctor would call me and speak about what they would want to do monday.

Then last night ds told me he falls asleep on the carpet at story time at school. I said the teachers don't mention it to me he said they don't notice. Now he sleeps 12 hours a night hes always been a heavy sleeper and a 16 hour night sleep isn't unusual for him.
I wonder if i am overacting phoning the doctor as everyone keeps saying that it all sounds pretty normal to them.

If you are worried about him, and his usual pattern of behaviour has changed, then it seems sensible to speak to your GP. write down all the stuff he tells you, about the spinning and his heart racing, and falling asleep at school, they may be nothing, but they might mean something taken together.

I don't think you are over reacting.

It's never a overreaction to get your child checked out! But could he be getting a head rush from getting up to quick and running around in PE. I think if he was really falling asleep at story time the Teacher would of mentioned it.

I thought that about the sleeping but he is adiment he does fall asleep on the carpet and to be honest with his glasses on ots not always easy at a quick glance that his eyes are open.
The last time he got dizzy he told the teacher and she said he wasnt doing anything just sat at a table.

I would absolutely get him checked out but FWIW loads of them in DTs reception class fell asleep at carpet time after lunch.
