Probably stupid question about men’s pyjamas

So this is probably going to sound like a stupid question but I want to try and get this right! After being single a very long time, I finally have a DP, yay! Our first Christmas together and I want to get him some pyjamas - it’s related to an in joke we have plus in our family we always do Christmas Eve pyjamas which he knows so thought it’d be nice to include him.

Trouble is, I’ve never had to buy clothes for a man before - t shirts and hoodies and so on are fine, I know he’s usually an XL, but not sure about bottoms. He’s 6”2 which to me seems very tall but I come from a family of shortarses. So to the question - should I be buying regular length or long length?! I know to an extent it depends how long his legs are?! I feel so dim but I don’t want to get the wrong ones...

It does depend how long his legs are, dp is over 6ft but I have to get short pants as his legs are not long at all Always better to be too long though than too short, aren’t PJs normally one length?

Long length would be better, Marks do them.

Can you order and measure against his jeans or take a pair into the shop and have a look?

You get PJs with leg lengths? I never knew that. I get "loungewear" type PJs. Very baggy and slouchy.

I'm fine with regular trousers on the whole, but sometimes I wish I had an extra inch.

I was in Next today and most said regular but a couple said long which is why I got confused! Will try and sneak a look at his jimjams when I’m round tomorrow, which will be the best way I suppose, but you know when you just get something in your head and need to talk it out! I’ve never had a boyfriend to buy birthday/Christmas presents for and am def getting slightly carried away...

My dh is 6'2" and I get him long length from Next. There's loads of choice if you look at Next online rather than instore.

DS1 is 6'2 and I'd get the long for him. As a pp said, Next online are good.
