Le Creuset or Lakeland?

My DB and DSiL have asked for a casserole dish for Christmas.

I'm torn between the Le Creuset 25cm one:

Or the Lakeland 26cm:

I have a Le Creuset griddle pan which is amazing, but do you really think they're worth the extra?

Yes, Le Creuset is beautiful and lasts forever.

I have Le Creuset but more recently have bought cast iron ware from Sainsbury's. I've had the Sainsbury stuff for three years now and they're as good as Le Creuset.

I have that one in pink, and also the wide one in blue.

You’re very generous to B & SIL!

Thanks all..

I had looked at Sainsbury's, but DSiL works there so not enough of a surprise!

I think I'll go for Le Creuset then..

@BertramKibbler, they only get one present between them, no little extras or anything, so it's only about £65 each, which I don't think is too excessive..! (Maybe that's just me! I love buying gifts!)

No problem, just a bit jealous. I’d love our siblings to be buying us Le Crueset

Hehe! Me too! I've told them to surprise me this year.. who knows what that might turn out to be!!

I was given one of these and a set of Le Creuset as wedding presents. Despite being much nicer looking the Le Creuset languish unused at the back of the cupboard as I find them too heavy.

DaffodilPower · 06/12/2018 14:43

Ooo that's quite good - and around half the weight, too..! Thank you!

Check what they have in tk maxx for le crueset - about a month or so ago they had some of those much cheaper!
