Advice for situation with colleague

I need some advice on how to cope/deal with a situation with a colleague. It's not major but annoying.

My colleague is pregnant with her 3rd child. She has had terrible sickness every time including this time. She is finding it hard to get to the end of the day.

Our jobs mean that work needs to be done by someone - eg if she can't do it we need to pick up the slack.

I wouldn't mind helping out but she was quite rude to me twice yesterday with no provocation. I am sure this was because she is feeling poorly.

I smiled and carried on as normal but I was quite cross. I will do some of the additional work this time.

My question is - what do I do? Carry on ignoring the minor rudeness or call her out on it?

Call her out on it. And talk to your manager if your workload is excessiven

Yeah call her out being pregnant is not an excuse to be rude. If she can’t hack then she needs to take her mat leave early

I'd talk to my manager too. If she not fit for the work perhaps she could have reduced hours or change of role for a while.

Ive been in your situation. Its hard to keep picking up the slack.

Id probably also call her out on being rude, but I'm a grumpy cow

Thanks - she is only in first trimester and working 2 days a week so she's got a while to go but luckily for her and us, she isn't in all the time!

Our manager is aware of the workload situation so I will definitely raise it with her if it carries on. Hopefully her mood will be better next week!! If she snaps at me again I will snap back!

This time in true British style I ended up apologising to her 😂
