Just that really? Asking for a friend, she bought one for her son and he is disappointed he can't watch videos of strangers unboxing toys!

I'm not sure if you can install the app - there was a dispute between Amazon and Google, and as a result of that the YouTube app was withdrawn. You can watch it in the browser though.

It's a bit of a faff but assuming it works the same as a Kindle Fire, I was able to install Google Play Store on my Kindle Fire by following these steps - then you can download through Play Store all the apps available, which should include YouTube:-

I can't be certain it will work on that device though

I am using an Amazon Fire 8HD tablet and can access YouTube fine.

I don't use the app though. I just Google it through the Silk browser but I have installed Google Play app on it too. (Full, easy instructions of how to do this are on YouTube and you should be able to download the YouTube app from Google Play Store.)

I also have a mini IPad but I find the Fire tablet just as good! 😁

Hope the above proves of some use and makes sense. I am DEFINITELY not a tecchie! 😂😂😂

Yes you can, you have to download it on parent side of the kindle then go into setting and add media (YouTube) to child's account. Only thing is you have to watch YouTube like a hawk too many misleading cartoons that have been dubbed with foul language.

We just use the web browser on ours.
DD spends an endless amount of time watching Americans going around supermarkets and buying stuff.
