M1 north - sorry dull topic

Driving north tomorrow, is there anywhere north of london, Nottingham ish near the m1 better than services to stop? Even if its just a nandos type place?

Fosse park, Leicester, immediately off jn21

I mean it's not great but it has a food court and petrol, should be better than services.

We always go A1 so we can stop at the OK Diner!

Two options...

Further south at Leicester is fosse park which is just off the M1 j 21. Loads of food options and only 1 minute away.

J 28 at Mansfield, is the designer outlet with a food court.

Either are better than a services...probably 30 mins between the two.

Meridian Leicester is better for food and no more than 5 mins from Fosse Park. There is also a pub called The Observatory there and a soft play, arcade and cinema for a longer stop.

I'd forgotten meridian, that is nicer if you're stopping jn21

I agree the Meridian area is better for food, etc, than Fosse Park. It's just a minute or two to drive there from the M1. There's petrol close by.

Junction 25 has a steak house thing.

Loughborough has a harvester just off the motorway..

I'll second j26. IKEA/ Nandos/ Subway/ Pizza Express are all possible options.
