Potty training 21 month old girl

My dd tells me she needs a wee and when she needs a poo but won't sit on the potty or the toilet. Any ideas to help out to stop her being scared

Special treat like iPad or favourite book when she's sitting on the potty then gradually reduce. Worked for us both times around same age...

We trained ours at 22mo in October and she was really conflicted about poos and kept avoiding the potty! Prior to that we'd just had the potty next to the bath and offered it to her for wees so she was fine with those. Can you try having a wee at the same time?

Give it time. No point pushing it and creating a bigger issue in her mind.

How about an open nappy on a potty?

Maybe she just isn’t ready. Lots aren’t at that age, and if you go too early you can have a prolonged and very boring time of it, whereas if you give it 3 - 6 months it might be easier and faster. DD was 2years 5 months and was potty trained day and night within a week. She wasn’t ready sooner.
