leaking roof - sanitary towels??

No I'm not some sort of weird troll.

We have a leaking roof. The builder's been out to look at it but needs a few dry days in a row to replace the tiles, fix the flashing, sort the leak. We're in Glasgow. Dry days aren't plentiful.

So we have water coming in under the coving at the top of the wall. We are using folded up pads of kitchen roll to soak it up and stop it running down the wall. Was thinking in a flash of inspiration that it might be better to use sanitary towels or incontinence pads??

Yes it would look weird but tbh I'm past caring. The whole roof situation is stressing me out enormously and every time it rains, I get that knot of anxiety knowing water's coming into the house.

Bath towels?

I've got visions of Tena lady stuck all over your walls.....

Need to attach them to the top of the wall by the coving though. Bath towels are quite heavy. Would experiment but I don't have periods and never used TENA products!

Do you have any nappies? A few of them stuck on would make a huge difference.

I'm also in Glasgow, the weather is pish at the moment. I was hoping it was going to snow on Tuesday but no such luck.
