Eating out in London

Have a day out planned but since moving out of London last year I've lost touch with where to eat and drink- we are looking for something not to expensive but tasty, along the likes of Bao, Daddy Bones, Hoppers - interesting and tasty. Location ideally central somewhere - any body got any good recommendations ?

I live in London but need to know the answer to this as well so following.

Better than Bao and just around the corner - Bunhouse.

Dishoom. Hoppers. Golden Dragon (china town), Giant Robot. Chai Khana. Burger and Lobster.

I've tried all of the ones that have been mentioned except the one in Canary Wharf

Duck and Rice, Mildred's, Brasserie Zedel, Hawksmoor, Palomar, Berners Tavern, 28-50, Jinjuu. Any of those float your boat?

I really like Duck and Rice in Soho

oops NotFeelingGood got there first! I went to Brat a few weeks ago, just got a michelin star too. I really like Bar Shu

I also adore Yuatcha

But the one at City is better
