Hi,

Can I ask how much you pay for a real Christmas tree?

We always had a real tree as a kid but for the past few years we have had a fake one and I don’t think it makes it feel as Christmassy. So would like a rough idea of what to expect price wise

About £10 a foot from the tree farm. We buy “rejects” though for £10-15 for a six foot tree ( slightly less bushy, or flat on one side, or too many cones... but gorgeous!)

Yes real trees are not cheap. We paid around 40 to 50 for a potted tree approx 5 foot .
We have switched to a fake one partly as they v rarely survived more than a year and we couldn't justify the expense in the end although I prefer a real tree .

I got the £25 one from ikea where you also get a £20 voucher to use in the new year. 5 feet tall and lasted really well last year!

£30-35 for a 7-8 foot one from local guy who grows them

Thanks ladies. We were going to go to a Christmas tree farm unsure if that will be more expensive than just going to a garden place?

£45 for a Nordman tree grown by a local market gardener who is about 6ft 1inches and weighs around 13 stone.

Christmas tree farms will have not shipped the tree hundreds of miles from Shropshire or Sussex, so less carbon miles.
