Johnny (Boden) dumped me.........

....... and I am brokenhearted! I asked him if I would be getting a birthday voucher this year (so I could afford his over-priced but nice clothes) and he said no. When I asked if he had forsaken his middle aged, slightly curvy loyal customer base in pursuit of throwing freebies at influencers who wear his clothes uncomfortably and obviously as a business deal, he unsubscribed me! Oh the shame. Ditched by the man who makes safe clothes for middle aged women. What am I to do?

The trick is to spot the signs and dump him first. I ended things with Mr B as soon as the voucher changed from an actual”£10 off” into the much less exciting “£10 off a £30 spend”

Mixedupmummy · 04/12/2018 22:52

Shock I'm horrified on your behalf. I thought Mr B was a gentleman. (clutches pearls)

Haworthia · 04/12/2018 22:55

I’m the same as twerk. My Best Buy from one of their vouchers was a pair of kids dungarees for 35p + free delivery.

When they - perhaps understandably - put a minimum spend in place, I haven’t ordered a thing since Grin

BurpAndRustle · 05/12/2018 02:28

You need to forget about that Bounder Boden and rebound onto a nice Cornish type.

Celtic & Co just sent me a nice Christmas card with a £20 voucher. Min spend £20. Got a scarf costing £39, cos fair’s fair, all my damn near free tops and hats from Johnny over the last few years have probably contributed to your spurning.

AtHomeInFrance · 05/12/2018 10:22

Thanks @BurpAndRustle - will go and have a look. Plenty more fish in the sea wanting my money.

The no minimum spend vouchers are back. Between us we've had four this year, we've used them for presents for charity.

Bombardier25966 · 05/12/2018 10:30

That's since September, think we had minimum spend ones earlier in the year. And when I returned something it was put as a credit on my account to spend again.

recently · 05/12/2018 10:31

What??? I've never had a birthday voucher

Nanasueathome · 05/12/2018 10:35

I had a voucher yesterday but it was minimum spend

TheFaerieQueene · 05/12/2018 10:35

burp. I’m looking at the v same card as I type. I want the Toscana coat or gillet but that £20 isn’t going to make much of a dent in the price, so I won’t be getting it 😫

Beamur · 05/12/2018 10:38

I had a no strings £10 for no particular reason last month. Have nice new top now.

HashTagLil · 05/12/2018 10:38

@BurpAndRustle

oooo, I just opened the card off them that sat on the side since Monday because I thought it was spam.Thank you!

ToastyFingers · 05/12/2018 12:24

Mine that came yesterday had a £50 minimum spend! I haven't had a 'real' one since the start of the year.

BurpAndRustle · 05/12/2018 16:19

Love the Toscana stuff too Faerie. Have a hat and snood, they keep me very cosy at the very coldest of times.

IsabelleSE19 · 05/12/2018 16:26

Shit! Thanks so much BurpAndRustle!

AtHomeInFrance · 05/12/2018 20:16

Oohhh, what have you done to me? Johnny who? Have signed up to Celtic and Co and waiting for a little treat to come my way (and they asked for my birthday!).

TuMeke · 05/12/2018 21:35

I’ve never had a voucher at all from Mr B, minimum spend or not! And I’m a loyal overseas customer. Hmph. Off to lookup Celtic & Co now too...
