Nick Hornby, A Long Way Down

I read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was just wondering if anyone has seen the movie and what you thought of it compared to the book.
I'd have to watch it on my own because my family and friends think the material is too depressing and/or hits too close to home, but I genuinely really enjoyed the book, and the bonds the main characters had with one another.

It’s a really beautiful book. I don’t know anyone else who’s read it!

Been a while since I saw the film and I think it was good. Not as moving as the book, but possibly because you know the story already. It was well cast. Toni Collette is amazing. I think they changed the ending? If so I don’t remember it being ruined by that.
