They're unreal. It's a piece about men speaking up about domestic violence.

Nearly every comment ( I'm on page 2) is saying what about the men or similar. It's actually shocking.

I know this kind of commenting happens on articles about women but this is extreme.

What is the psychology behind it. Someone please enlighten me.

I think it is as simple as our society has taught men that they matter more. It is the definition of the patriarchy I guess - someone says ' men do this bad thing overwhelmingly often' and men are socialised from a young age to believe that they have every right to be considered the exception, are happy to belittle the statistic on that basis and go about their business safe in a world that prioritises their opinions and needs.

Absolutely QueenofallIsee. It's utterly depressing. The Guardian has been my newspaper since university but it really has lost its way. The extreme left hate women.
