Decent bourbon

Hi,

I'm looking to buy DH a bottle of Bourbon as part of his Christmas presents however I don't know anything about Bourbon and thought Jim Beam was called Jim Bean until a week ago.

Can you recommend a fancy one I could buy him please

Have a look on Masters Of Malt website. There's lots in there for all price ranges and you can make your own miniature tasting set so he could try lots of different ones to see which he likes.

Wild Turkey or Jim Beam 'Devils Cut'. Both are superb and not that expensive.

Old Forrester is the best Ive tried. Love the stuff. Makers Mark is also very good, I have been told its better than the Old Forrester and it is more expensive, I prefer the Old Forrester though. Buffalo Trace is pretty good too

Woodford Reserve is lovely.

My DH likes Makers Mark.

Seconding Woodford Reserve! It's my standard tipple. Delicious straight and also makes a lovely Manhattan. Rowan's Creek is nearly as good too.

My DP loves the stuff. His favourite is Woodford Reserve but for humour value (because I'm that mature!) and because apparently it is actually a decent drink - I tend to get him Knob Creek.

Gentleman Jack is a decent premium variant of Jack Daniels

Blanton's original single barrel Kentucky bourbon and Four Roses are both sublime small batch bourbons.

You can get both on amazon and my husband who is a serious bourbon drinker said these are two of his all time favourites,
