Private GP appointment, anybody had one?

Thinking of booking myself a 30 minute private GP appointment, in the hope it may be more help than my normal GP, who I struggle to get a 10 min appointment with anyway.
Has anyone had one of these? Did you find it helpful/more beneficial than a normal NHS appointment?

DH does sometimes if he can’t get an Appointment with the usual GP outside his working hours. He’s self employed so the amount he would lose in earnings to take time off work is much more than a Private GP costs
The Private GP is no better, although he does get a half hour appointment so they listen more and have time to take a proper history but prescribing is very expensive so they tend to send him back to his GP for that. Some NHS GPS won’t prescribe on the say so of a Private one but the one he has used also does NHS work and is well respected and well known to our GP so our practise will
He only uses Private GPs if he can’t get a convenient appointment rather than because of the standard of GP

I use one as I can usually get a same day appointment. I haven't seen my NHS GP for ages but the quality of care is a bit hit and miss depending on the doctor (as it is anywhere). Tests etc can be expensive but they're usually quite clear about the costs. I have private healthcare through work so I've then used that when they've needed to refer me on to a specialist as otherwise private treatment gets very expensive very quickly.
