I've been invited to my first children's birthday party D:. I'm a ftm to DD aged 5 months and have no friends or family with kids, I've only very recently met up a few times with a small group of other lonely local parents. There is a lady who I have met about 3 or 4 times over the last 2 months or so who has invited me and the other few parents and their kids to her son's 1st birthday party at her house. I will go but I have an anxiety disorder and this is unchartered territory for me...what shall I get him as a present for around £10 (not in a good place financially!)? And should I take anything with me, for the kids, or for the adults?

A present would be nice for birthday child. I've never expected anything for myself when hosting children's birthday party.

We got ds a bubble machien for his first birthday, in 2 for 15 deal at argos. Dd had a tunnle from my nan, a cheep one from amazon that has had 5 years of use! My go to present for little ones is natural painted lanka kade animals, all under £3, but look much more substantial.
