Dentist Question

Okay so, I have a major infection in my wisdom tooth and surrounding gums. Bad pain. Been to dentist, paid my band 1 nhs charge, took one look and they've prescribed antibiotics.

This was an emergency appointment and not with my usual dentist. They've recommended I go to my dentist now and ask for a referral for extraction.

So do I now have to pay £21.60 again to hear the same thing? Feels like a waste of money going to emergency dentist when they couldn't really do anything Sad I'm in constant recurring pain and I'm so desperate to just have the damn tooth out

Suppose I'm just looking to rant about this, just in so much pain, haven't slept well in days. Sad

You got antibiotics, which is all your normal dentist would have done too - they can't operate while it's infected except in emergency circumstances.

And no, when you go to your dentist they'll sort out a total expected cost of the rest of the treatment. You won't be paying again for the same thing. Well, unless you need a second round of antibiotics.
