What has made your past Christmases magical?

For me, I had the same stocking for years - still have it now.

Remembering the feeling of it being placed on my bed when I was small - along with a gift too. My parents always put my stocking and a game or something to keep me entertained.

We all went down to the lounge together. That was the first glimpse of gifts.

I remember being a young teen and having to go through the lounge to make a drink and literally blinkering myself so I didn't spoil the tradition.

DH and I have christmas day just us - with DS now he's here. And Boxing Day, my parents come to us and we have another day of gifts and food.

How about you?

I think for me it was the whole wider family being together. I was blissfully unaware of all the negativity inbetween the adults around me. We all gathered at my maternal GP's house (including my paternal GM), where I went wild with my cousins, having a sauna, waiting for Santa (GP's neighbour dressed up as Santa and brought our gifts), eating all the food, and even the adults seemed chilled out.
