Totally outing but I don't care...

He is in reception, turned 4 in August and entered into the school decoration competition. All decorations are placed onto the school tree but a decoration is chosen as a winner from each class. And he won! Grin Sadly, he missed his glory of it being announced - kept off on Friday because of a bad stomach.

I went and got a photo of his decoration on the "Winners" tree this morning.

So proud. [santa]

My son won a competition!

How lovely, that's a wonderful decoration. Is it going on your tree at home forever?

cjt110 · 03/12/2018 15:31

It will indeed lazyarse123 It's his very own masterpiece... We've never really crafted much at home before but I got the sequins and glitter and whatnot and he, and I, had great fun :)

My mum still has the decorations we made at school. Ones is Blue card in a bell shape with glitter. A bit of hairspray will help keep the glitter on. Well done to your son that’s avreally nice decoration.

Lovely! A few years ago my dd won a craft competition at school...I was so proud Smile

I made a rod for my own back. DS (then 5) and me made Shimmer and Shine bracelet things (something he's very much reconsidered since turning 7) as part of Nick Jrs competition. He won - picture shown on TV, goodie bag, the works. Now he assumes every competition is a sure win

That's lovely, and so cute!
Warning though - I won a decoration in a party game at nursery and it still has to have pride of place on the tree, every year. You'll be looking at that deccy for many years to come Grin

Good job I luffs him quantiestillecanisinfenestra And the snowman is alright too!

I hate crafting. My DH hates crafting. I had visions of glitter in all sorts of places... BUT... I was sensible and lined the table with newpaper so we had minimal mess.

Never in a million years did I think he'd win!

Check out his GREEN pasta bowtie,.... oh yeah.... Grin
