I'm dense about DIY and desperately need new doors for bathroom sink unit! Please help...

Our bathroom, as installed by pervious owners, is cheap and cheerful to say the least. Since we moved in a couple of years ago, the very cheap handles on the under-sink unit's doors have started to go actually sligtly mouldy. Water has inevitably dripped on them and they're made, as far as I can tell, from a kind of tin-covered paper.

They're now turning a bit green and crusty and I HATE THEM.

They're not replaceable in that they're not just screw-in ones, they actually sit right on top of each door if that makes sense. Just taking them off would ruin the cabinet doors' look too.

We can't afford to re-do the entire under-sink unit.

I basically want to find just DOORS that will fit, so we can take off the old doors in their entirety and replace with new doors (with no crappy handles this time!!)

But I'm dense about this stuff :(

How do I do this? I'm looking online at IKEA and nothing comes just as doors, it's the entire cabinet or nothing as far as I can tell. Same elsewhere. I'd be OK to buy a very cheap IKEA unit and only use the doors from it, but the cheaper ones wouldn't fit.

The doors are 30cm across each (so the double doors make 60cm altogether which seems like a fairly standard measurement?) and they're 80cm from top to bottom.

Is this a weird thing I'm trying to do? Have trawled online but you don't seem to be able to get replacement doors for under-sink units at all!!

Any advice? Even DD is noticing the manky green speckled handles now and I can't face them much longer. We have guests coming for Xmas and I'm not hugely houseproud but I don't want them to think we have a mouldy bathroom! The rest of the bathroom is perfectly find, nice even, so I'm a bit annoyed there's something as small as a manky pair of handles making it all seem a bit bluerk.

I'd suggest asking the folks at diy-kitchens.com.

Any kitchen-installing place will sell you plain doors (and handles), and many will make custom sizes (including diy-k), but you might find problems with the hinges to fit your old cabinet if they're not standard.
