Mice in the house are making me miserable

I have mice. Have not actually seen them but have heard them. Have had pest control out and they are doing something about it, and it doesn’t seem to be an infestation... but the “solution” does not appear to have worked yet as I have heard some scurrying noises...

I don’t have a mice phobia but I absolutely hate the idea of coming across them. I freeze at every noise and am now uncomfortable being in my home in the evening! Sad

The plug-in mice repellents worked for me.

Really? Maybe I will get some. Anything is worth a try! Pest control man laid down some poison but I am not sure they are taking the bait, literally!

I hear you. I don't mind mice as such but when you wake up to one sitting on your bedside table watching you it's bloody awful. It then ran behind my head over my pillow. My PILLOW!

Every scratchy type sound still makes me shudder a little, even the rain beating on the windows sounds like mice ffs.

So I do feel for you. Do you know where they're entering your house? The pest man was great, really helpful but it does take a while to get rid of them.

Oh and the plug in sonar things didn't work at all for me despite being bloody expensive!

GreenTulips · 02/12/2018 23:34

Any building work happening near you? It's possible they are homeless and looking for a new one

Dietcoke131 · 02/12/2018 23:36

The sonar plug ins worked for me... not too dear from b and q, it’s worgh it to get rid of that feeling... traps didn’t help at all!

Orchardgreen · 02/12/2018 23:37

Traps are your friends. They work!

Jack65 · 02/12/2018 23:38

Borrow a cat?

Bishalisha · 02/12/2018 23:39

We had mice, twice.

Was nothing compared to the Rats 🤮

The bait takes a few days to work as apparently they have to get used to it being in their surroundings

French - that sounds horrendous!

It’s an old terrace that needs a renovation (which will happen soon hopefully) and so I think they are living under the stairs, as at the moment there is nothing to stop them travelling from under the stairs to further under the house.

No building work near me but I think my neighbour might have mice (he mentioned seeing one recently) so they might have migrated from his house...
