I am watching The Light Between The Oceans and was really enjoying it until the truth started unfolding about the baby being lost at sea etc.
I feel like I have deja vu but I haven't seen the film before or read the book.
What I have read, or maybe watched, is something similar but presented as a thriller. In it, there's two sisters, one of whom is wilful. It turns out they were switched as toddlers, and one of them had been rescued from a small boat and the other one had died and then 'replaced' by the rescued child. There's a man involved who ends up killing himself. And someone retrieves something from his pocket which identifies the rescue baby.
Anyone recognise what I'm talking about or did I dream it??
