There’s been a bit of a bug slowly making its way around the house, 3 out of 4 DC have had it over the last week and a half with the last one being the baby who has been velcroed to me whilst ill
So it was inevitable really

I’m down

I’m dizzy, have awful stomach cramps and feel like that bit at the beginning of pregnancy where you feel like if you open your mouth to speak you’ll throw up

We can’t really afford DP not to go to work if I’m ill

Fuck

Sad How are you feeling now? Stomach bugs are the absolute worse. Lots of sympathy.

trilbydoll · 02/12/2018 18:23

We've all had/got gastric flu. I only had one really bad day where I lay on the settee unable to move. DH hasn't got it anywhere near as badly as dd1.

Can you go to bed right now? 12 hours sleep might be enough to save you from the absolute worst case.

redsummershoes · 02/12/2018 18:27

the good thing is, they are usually over quickly.
settle yourself near the loo.
let dp loose with the dettol to clean everything you/dc touched.
and have him change bedding and put on a wash with that and the towels. the hotter the better.
hope you feel better soon!

Use diluted bleach in a spray bottle rather than dettox to spray everything you touch.

How old are the children?

DonaldDucksTowel · 02/12/2018 18:42

Still haven’t been sick or anything but the stomach cramps are killing me! I’m in a ball on the bed hiding atm

I’ve been cleaning like a mad woman all week, my floors have never been so clean, but it doesn’t seem to have made any difference
I think I’ve had too many slobbery kisses from the baby for it to have been avoidable

Unfortunately I can’t go to bed until the 3 year old does, he won’t go to bed for DP (I know I know) but I’ll just go with him and hopefully sleep through the worst of it

DC are 9,6,3 and 10 months Bert

Thankyou for the sympathy, I’m getting none from DP and I just needed a little run in the head Sad

Can you rope any friends in to help with the school run tomorrow? It won't be so bad if the children are out of the house.

DonaldDucksTowel · 02/12/2018 19:38

should yes that’s a good idea I might do that, lots pass us on their way to school, although I’ll still have the youngest 2 at home

However I still haven’t been sick, so I’m remaining optimistic
Everyone cross everything you’ve got for me!
