How to record heartbeat and put into teddy bear?

This is going to sound strange but hear me out.

Yesterday I had a scan and found out I was having a boy (Grin) and MIL bought DD a teddy at the clinic that we put a recorded heartbeat into (they did it at the clinic) as a 'gift' from her soon-to-be-brother. But the more I think about it, I'm sad DD doesn't have one and don't want her to feel 'left out' and tbh I'd like one of DD's as well. The thing is, how would I go about recording a toddler's heartbeat to put into a bear?! I don't have the machine to put the noise into the plastic thing, does anyone know where I can get such a thing done? Any help would be much appreciated!

You can put personalised messages in some of the build a bears if you have one near you

I can get to build a bear but how would I record the sound onto a device to put in the bear?x

There are apps you can get to record heartbeats- usually when they are in the womb but I'm pregnant at the minute and my 3 year old loves using it to find hers.

You can email the sound from them, so you could save it to a usb? I'm not really sure how they get the sound onto the bear. You may just be able to play it as the bear is recording.

On a separate note, if you are sentimental in this way, will you cope when the heartbeat stops beating?

We have many build a bears and have never put the shop heartbeat in because the voices in the past have worn out. The idea of its heart stopping horrified me!

I didn't even think about the heartbeat stopping 😱 but I already have this one so it's doesn't seem fair to not get one for DD.
