Think it would look better either less brassy or just going darker

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 01/12/2018 23:07

Maybe she likes her hair!

rosenylund · 01/12/2018 23:10

She's using a splash of lemon and a spritz of sun-in whilst she's down under !

LEMtheoriginal · 01/12/2018 23:12

I cant afford a decent hair dresser. I have to use the brassy home horror. Thanks OP

It looks greasy and as though she's just taken a bobble out and it's giving it a shit kink. Her hair used to be lovely too.

SpamChaudFroid · 01/12/2018 23:15

However commenting on a male tv presenter is just going too far - I know Harry! I got absolutely slaughtered once for commenting on Dai? Kai? from XFactor. He was the Welsh chap with hilarious hair extensions who had a love for silky blouses. There was a lot to poke fun at.

UbiquitousDust · 01/12/2018 23:15

As someone above said, people rarely comment on how men presenters look.

So onto what matters; her presenting. I don't watch This Morning but on "I'm a celeb" she seems very flat and like she's reading the autocue. Obviously, they are all reading the autocue but you can tell she is. The relationship between her and Dec seems very forced. Not as if they don't like each other, just that they don't have any chemistry. He is a bit too try hard with her. She annoys me immensely during the trials. If she can't even watch bugs why was she employed to present a programme about them? It was funny when Ant and Dec would get a bit squeamish occassionally but she gets squeamish and silly every single time which is irritating.

I could imagine her being good at calming people who were having a bit of a stress in a trial (if she could look at them). She also seems sincere.

Is her voice always that croaky?

TarragonSauce · 01/12/2018 23:18

I suspect my dye would start showing signs of age if I was spending me afternoons in the Palazzo Versace swimming pool too.

But Garnier should have sent their expertist expert out there and booked a few advert slots in the IAC breaks. Vair bad pr as Dec might say.

Nicknacky · 01/12/2018 23:18

So let’s focus on her presenting skills rather than her hair.

WinterfellWench · 01/12/2018 23:18

I like her and think she looks great.

Think she is doing a fab job with Dec too.

Some proper spiteful comments on this thread. Horrible thread actually! Hmm

LEMtheoriginal · 01/12/2018 23:19

Ubiquitous - it would take some sort of miracle to make im a celebrity anything other than dross. All it seems to be is people eating insects. Fish eyes and mashed up testicles. The first time you watch it its hystetical but this is all this program consists of - meh

ForgetMeLots · 01/12/2018 23:25

So let’s focus on her presenting skills rather than her hair.

Can’t we do both?

ManicUnicorn · 01/12/2018 23:27

Davina McCall actually uploaded an Instagram photo of her dying her own hair with a box dye only last week. So some celebs do diy, but Holly's just looks yellow. It needs toner badly!

Sarcelle · 01/12/2018 23:28

Although it does seem a mean thread to discuss her looks rather than her presenting skills, let's be honest, it was her looks that paved her way in the first place. I don't mind her away from her smug co-host Pip Schofield, but she is vanilla in terms of personality and her voice cracks and goes so high that only dogs can hear her. If she was overweight, not a bottle blond with very good legs, she would not be presenting on a shopping channel let alone prime time.

UbiquitousDust · 01/12/2018 23:28

@LEMtheoriginal it is dross (and boring) but the husband watches it - honest! 😂 I wasn't under any impression she would make it something it wasn't.

Nicknacky · 01/12/2018 23:29

forget Why does a presenters hair colour matter?

UbiquitousDust · 01/12/2018 23:32

With regards to the Hernia colour - the ads and boxes say she uses a certain colour so she must do, otherwise they couldn't day that.

I always thought they just had hairdressers use the box dye formulas. Hairdresser dye and home dye are v similar, hairdressers are often just better at using it.

LEMtheoriginal · 01/12/2018 23:32

The only reason i watched it was that DP wanted to watch Anne Hegerty in it and then he was cracking up at the challenges. I actually watched him rather than the show as he was laughing so much. Novelty deffo worn off for him now and i no longer have to suffer it.

Maybe it would be better if it were holly and phillip? They have chemistry and he has better hair than dec!

ForgetMeLots · 01/12/2018 23:33

Why can’t we talk about her looks? She advertises everything from hair dye to Optiwell and is the face/hair/body of the brands she advertises. She had a ‘style account’ on Instagram and a lifestyle blog (or has that not happened?).

If we all ignored her looks, she’d never appear on tv.

She advertises hair dye. Her hair is shit. What’s the problem?

UbiquitousDust · 01/12/2018 23:35

Hernia = Garnia obviously! 😂

Nicknacky · 01/12/2018 23:35

forget But we aren’t taking about her advertisements or her style acocunt.

We are just critising a female for the sake of it.

Her hair isn’t shit if she is happy with it, for fucks sake. I doubt everyone loves mine but I like it!

Joinourclub · 01/12/2018 23:36

Nicknacky I get your point and your frustration, but HW gets work largely because she is an attractive blond woman, so it's no surprise that people discuss her looks before her skills.

Nicknacky · 01/12/2018 23:39

join That doesn’t make it ok!

Am I in a parallel universe where women will criticise another woman’s looks before even mentioning her ability?

Every post about Holly has been about how she looks.

HeddaGarbled · 01/12/2018 23:40

Is it any wonder that so many women suffer from low self-esteem and poor mental health when a stunning-looking 37 year old woman gets this sort of nit-picky criticism. A little bit of her hair apparently isn’t perfect (for you). How dare she be imperfect in public, the uppity bitch!

coffeekittens · 01/12/2018 23:42

I think it’s the aus weather. When my hair was dyed/bleached blonde it always went brassy and greasy looking in hot climates even if I used purple shampoo and had it professionally toned before going away.

ForgetMeLots · 01/12/2018 23:46

I don’t understand what ability has to do with looks Confused

Like a GP would say: ‘Mrs X, you’re severely obese BUT you’re a great ventriloquist’.

What a bizarre world you live in, Nick.
