Ok so I’m just over 2 weeks late starting my period. I’m usually like clockwork so I did a pregnancy test (2 in fact) and both are negative. I have the copper coil fitted so didn’t expect to be pregnant anyway. I’m 44 so I guess it’s not unheard of for women my age to start missing periods. The last week or so I’ve started to get a lot of cramping but rather than a period I’m getting a brown watery discharge with black flecks in it. Has anyone had any experience with this? I’m not sure this is reason to go to the doctor but it’s not anything I’ve had happen before.
