Is there a way to store text messages permanently?

I found out my boyfriend died yesterday. I want to make sure I can't loose all his texts. Is there a way I can make sure I can keep them? It was a long distance relationship, so there are so many texts and messages.

My heart is breaking. We had so many plans. We had plans for decades in to the future. I can't bear to loose any of the tiny bits of him I still have.

I’m really sorry this has happened. Could you screen shot them?

Sorry for your loss. You can screen shot them and email them to yourself. You’ll then have the photos of the texts and the back up in your email in case your phone breaks or is stolen. You could also print them out and maybe frame some special texts?

I used to have an app called g cloud that I used for backing up messages and you can access them from the web.

So sorry for your loss x

if you go to either the app store or Google play and search for SMS backup you'll find quite a few apps. read the reviews and choose I used SMS backup + on Android

So sorry to hear. This happened to me as well. If it’s whatsapp, you can email yourself a text version of the whole conversation, and I took screenshots of all the messages I wanted to keep. They are on my computer and on a back up memory stick too
