... and so I'm bringing you an "Advent calendar" with a scene or two each day of what the Playmoland people are getting up to in the run up to Christmas.

Today in Lowbeach-on-Sea, Marta and her son Franz are putting up their Christmas decorations.

I am wondering if we should ask the Woolly Hugs thread crew to knit Marta a scarf and hat!

AviatorShades I must admit I was thinking of the Friday Night Girls I used to see out in Newcastle also !! (Apologies any Geordies reading, I loved my time up there in your city ! )

MollyHuaCha · 13/12/2018 19:35

So many instruments. Lovely to see the performing arts thriving in our schools.

burblish has said it for me, this thread makes me feel happy, wondrous and grateful to you @SoMuchtoBits Star

I don't think you need to apologise to any geordies reading this, Laska, Newcastle peeps we met were so friendly, including our landlady who got up specially to cook us a fry up which included what she said was the Best Black Pudding Ever made by a local producer! Two things here...1)it really was a superb black pudding and 2)the landlady was absolutely heroic in getting out of her bed to go go shopping, cook the breakfast and serve it. We'd seen her the night before out partying with her matesGrin

SoMuchToBits · 13/12/2018 19:48

Thank you, kennel!

Is it an alto sax?

Laska2Meryls · 13/12/2018 19:50

...Yes people in NE were v friendly and welcoming to this soft southerner (we lived in Durham for a couple of years and DS born there but that was 27 years ago now) ..

Lots of great times going out in Newcastle though previous to that.. (although I always wore a coat!!) Grin

SoMuchToBits · 13/12/2018 19:57

Saints, probably an alto sax from the size of it, if not it would be a tenor. It's defo too big for a soprano sax and too small for a bari!

I'm really enjoying this. It's the best part of Mumsnet by miles, and possibly the best bit of the whole internet.
