Obviously it’s all down to personal taste but some things are just wrong...

Mushy peas fgs, noooooooo

What foods would never have a place on your plate?

Turkey is crap. It's just so over rated. I'd rather just have a damn good 'boring old' chicken tbh.

Normally we try and have something interesting though. We've had reindeer, ham, goose and a three bird roast in the past.

This year DH was feeling particularly odd. It was just the three of us this year so I guess he was feeling particularly lazy. After I said we needed to peel the potatoes and carrots now, pulled a face and said we are having beef anyway, so let's just have the frozen sweet potato fries instead. Before heading outside to barbecue the beef as you do in December in the UK.

So we had barbecued beef, served with cocktail sausages, cauliflower cheese and sprouts (cooked with bacon and leek).

Honestly this tradition stuff is seriously over rated. It's Christmas day, I'd rather have something I love to eat (and might remember rather than just being the same thing you have every year)

So yeah, have anything and everything for Christmas Dinner... Except the turkey. Lose the turkey.

We have all the bad things- vinegar, mint sauce and yorkies and C cheese!!! Sweetorn is a big no from me

Cauliflower cheese. It's at all the carveries now too. Confused

I have it because I like it generally (as a meal on its own) but then I wonder why I've put it with a Sunday roast... Gross.

Of course mint sauce and Yorkshire puddings belong on a christmas dinner! It's just a glorified Sunday roast!
