Lucinda Riley. Check out the Seven Sisters series. It's up to book 5 at the moment. There's a chick lit feel but there's fascinating history included as they jump from present day to past, and the stories all interconnect.

Tracy Bloom for sure. ( particularly no one ever has sex on a Tuesday, and I will marry George Clooney by Christmas)I love the authors you mention, easy to read, proper characters. Hope you find something new!
