I'm very much into laid back easy reading chick lit books that the above authors write. Who else might I like? I can't stand Sophie Kinsella books.

Dorothy Koomson! Start with My Best Friend’s Girl ! That’s the one that got me hooked. I like all the authors you and the others above mention.

Lucinda Riley. Check out the Seven Sisters series. It's up to book 5 at the moment. There's a chick lit feel but there's fascinating history included as they jump from present day to past, and the stories all interconnect.

Tracy Bloom for sure. ( particularly no one ever has sex on a Tuesday, and I will marry George Clooney by Christmas)I love the authors you mention, easy to read, proper characters. Hope you find something new!

Another vote for Lucy Dillon, her stories really are excellent. Where the light gets in, is a favourite.

TheRattleBag · 01/12/2018 22:33

Fiona Walker books are enjoyable too.
