I'm thinking as a gift for my 70 year old father. Am I right in thinking you can plug it in any tv and it'll work? What does it do exactly?

Do you need prime and Netflix? I have both so can sign him in via them or get him his own. But mainly ... is it as easy as it looks?

I got one for the DDs for christmas, the tv needs a hdmi plug thingy on it. They are at the back usually.
You need Prime and Netflix if you want to watch them, the tv players etc are also available .
DH was checking them yesterday and it looks really easy.

It is pretty easy; and it stays logged in to things, so as long as you take care of logging into abc/4player/Netflix etc he'll be okay.

Now his upstairs tv is quite elderly. Do they all have hdmi port things

And if he didn't have any prime or Netflix ( I'm thinking if I can't log him in via mine although I'm sure I can ) what exactly could he watch?
