Spotting between periods

Hi Iam due to have a transvaginal and abdominal ultrasound due to spotting between periods.

I am just worried they will find something bad. Can they pick up tumours ...

I think it would potentially pick something up yes, but I had spotting and it was a problem with my cervix which was easily treatable after a quick procedure. Please try not to worry even though I know it can be difficult.
