This bloody elf......

My sister done elf on the shelf last year with her children and kept trying to get me to do it. Working full time and having 2 children, judo, dance and other commitments mean by 9 o clock lm done in, 10 o clock lm in bed.

Tonight she sent a bloody movie production worthy Facebook video to me and l let my two watch it by themselves, we live an hour away so Facebook messages and video calls how we keep in touch as we don't see each other every week.

Anyway she has them both an elf, has given them names, said when the are arriving and got them beds, blankets, clothes line and a door. She has given me suggestions what to do with them but it's all a bit high maintenance.

What simple things could l do? My sister wants to share pictures as our elves will be "friends" and she thinks it's a shame my children miss out on things with me walking full time.

(Don't worry l hung up after that comment, her opinion on my life doesn't matter to me)

Just hide him in a different place each day so your dc can find him. Cereal packet, window sill, behind a cushion etc

Bollocks does she. She's trying to make you feel bad. Post them back to her and say the elf enjoys its travels.

I hate Elf on the Shelf. Like you I just haven’t got the energy. It’s a shit story and a creepy tradition.

Bah Humbug.

Tell your dc that unfortunately the elf isn't real, but your dsis thinks he is, so they need to think of something for elf to do each day and photograph it for your dsis.

Keeps the kids busy.

Don't over think it. My kids think whatever it does is bloody hilarious.

Pinterest is your friend. I also used that calendar above. I wish I’d never started the bloody thing but dc is asking for it so will have to continue...
