Pokemon Battles For Dummies

Evening all Flowers

I was hoping someone could make my life intrinsically easier by telling me the names of the five most famous names of pokemons per type and their moves.
I don't have the time to wade through seasons of cartoons like my son (special needs) but he wants me to have short verbal battles with him - so naming a pokemon and their move.
He told me there are water ones, fairy ones, fire ones, bug ones, ice ones, shadow ones and they all have moves you dodge.
Anyone who can sum up for me?

5 very popular Pokemon

Pokemon name / Type / Name of move

Pikachu - electric type - Thunderbolt

Charizard - Fire Type - Flamethrower

Venusaur - Grass Type - Razor Leaf

Blastoise - Water Type - Hydro Pump

Eevee - Normal Type - Bite

Pokemon is tricky to sum up as it's very complicated. However if he just wants you to shout the names out the list above should help.

Also if he hasn't got a Nintendo DS I highly recommend it. There are lots of Pokemon games for it, and it's much more engaging than the card game or watching the show. Smile

Aw thank you ice
He is 5 and has too much screen time already but I might end up caving - pokemon go! on my phone was a no-go as my phone is too crap/low spec.
I thought Evee was a fairy - I am not very good at this. Yes I am meant to shout out names and move so he can shot dodge then hit me with something else. kill me now
So the above list (and more if anyone else who wants to help me out) will be a Godsend.
Can Poplio kill anyone with bubbles and what makes them all go to sleep?

This site is easy to navigate and will tell you any info you need. My boys are mad on pokemon so I have used it numerous times.

Lumber/unburden/mold breaker according to the wiki.

My autistic 11 and 6 year olds are both asleep or I’d enquire as to the best answers!:o

IncyWincyGrownUp · 29/11/2018 22:52

Snorlax, normal type, bodyslam

BaronessBomburst · 29/11/2018 22:55

A jynx uses a draining kiss!
That one's probably best avoided. Grin

IncyWincyGrownUp · 29/11/2018 22:57

Machamp, fighting type, dynamic punch.

Rapidash, fire, fire blast.

Gengar, ghost/poison, sludge bomb.

Gyardos, water/flying, outrage.

Dragonite, dragon/flying, Draco metoeor.

MozzieMagnet · 30/11/2018 07:11

Ah thank you Brew Cake I am going to write them all down. I did look up Hawlucher in the wiki honest guv but read the parags not the pink table. I then had to look up what they meant Blush
So limber stops paralysis, unburden is double speed and mold breaker beats other ones like levitation.

Next question: I am not in the UK so the magazine/cards always default to German. I am going to buy a bundle of cards off e-bay - they have loads of offers. Do all the cards have the movesets on them and will it really matter what generation they are?
(how many generations are there in total?)

Has there ever been a Pokemon Top Trumps Edition (or does this remove the whole point of original cards existing)

TIA Flowers
