Sigh... best flavour for dishwasher vodka, please. Again...

I've forgotten which ones 'worked'!

We've done 'forest berries' (frozen), needed a lot of sugar;
Skittles sorted into colours to avoid sludge-effect
Werther's

But I can't recall which was the nicest!

I think it was the red/orange/yellow skittles.

Am I right??!

And- again, remind me- how long in the dishwasher?

Like 'Winter', Christmas is coming.

OMG.

What’s this about a dishwasher?!

Yellow skittle vodka tastes like CIF Envy

WhoGivesADamnForAFlakeyBandit · 29/11/2018 19:29

I've only ever done boiled sweets, or sherbet lemons.

Miljah · 29/11/2018 19:51

Which boiled sweets?

How do you make vodka in a dish washer???

UtterlyDesperate · 29/11/2018 19:56

Rhubarbs and custards - delicious!

JennyHolzersGhost · 29/11/2018 19:56

Ah, every Christmas the new dishwasher vodka converts appear.

Reallybadidea · 29/11/2018 19:56

Werthers vodka is amazing but stupidly difficult to get the sweets through the neck of the bottle.

MorrisZapp · 29/11/2018 19:58

Put the werthers in a sock. Briskly apply hammer or large spoon. Put broken bits in the bottle.

ItsJustASimpleLine · 29/11/2018 19:59

What am I missing doing with my dishwasher????

Put the werthers in a sock.

Don't you get bits of sock fluff in the vodka though?

Hmm, maybe a kilner jar would work...

Shadow01 · 29/11/2018 20:10

Army navy sweets work well

1MillionSelfiesTakenByMyKids · 29/11/2018 20:10

Plastic bag rather than sock?

Reallybadidea · 29/11/2018 20:12

Yeah, I didn't have any heavy duty plastic bags before, they just split when I bashed them.

WoodpeckersAreWood · 29/11/2018 20:16

Parma violets

Miljah · 29/11/2018 23:49

Parma violets! There's a concept I would never have come up with! 😊

Do you wash the sock before hammering the sweet in it?

Malaco · 30/11/2018 00:09

Found the method for us novices

Christmas pudding vodka sounds like my kind of thing

safariboot · 30/11/2018 00:12

I think I'll stick to using my dishwasher for washing dishes...

Malaco · 30/11/2018 00:12

The Irish cream recipe looks good too. Wonder what it would be like with brandy instead of whiskey

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 30/11/2018 00:13

Butter mintoes!

Heuschrecke · 30/11/2018 05:56

Mars Bars, easy to chop them up small enough to get into the bottle and the end result is lovely!

BobbyBanana · 30/11/2018 06:01

Fisherman's Friends? Grin

exLtEveDallas · 30/11/2018 06:02

Cough candy, Kola cube, Rhubarb and Custard and Werthers are all favourites here.

Berry Skittles are the best. Normal skittles are best separated (if you leave the green ones in the mixture the whole thing goes brown)

Miljah · 30/11/2018 11:21

Thanks, all! And, safariboot, if you've been on MN 14 years, you'll've read of far worse things going into the dishwasher than bottles of vodka! Grin
