I used a service for a while that needed an item for the service to used. I cancled the service last year and never sent the item back completely forgot too they never asked for it back again. They can tell from there end that the item hasn’t been used. So they’ve kept taking money out the account each month. I hadn’t noticed until over a month ago. So quickly rang them changed the address and cancled they said I had to email to confirm which I did and I changed the address emailed to confirm too. I rang again when I hadn’t received anything and checked that the address had been changed was told it will be sent a month after I cancel. Turns out as my card had changed the payment wouldn’t work so I’ve not payed my lasts months Payment they sent the letter to the old Adress and it’s been opened by someone else my mums found out and is fuming I’ve just checked and I’ve been charged 400 for the last 9 months I know it’s my fault but where do I stand adress clearly hasn’t been changed

They only opened it as letters where addressed to business 2 at fairy lane and the new owner of business 2 fairy lane thought it was for her

Can the item be used, even if you say you havent?

Paddington23 · 29/11/2018 19:32

No they would notice every tome it would get used they would get a list of everytine and every month it’s not used I get charged a fee unless it’s used ex amount of times as they take a % everytime it is used

Not so worried about the charge that is really my fault just worried about post needing to be changed and they haven’t surely it’s a Georgia breach

My nose is growing exponentially!!

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 29/11/2018 20:17

Can’t you just say what the bloody thing is? It’s unnecessarily difficult to follow.

TheBigFatMermaid · 29/11/2018 20:18

It's a card payment device, you have been being charge for the rental of it.

You are a grown woman who had her own business and you are worried that your mum has found out that your error has cost you £400.

Paddington23 · 29/11/2018 20:23

No not worried just pissed off that I’m dealing with everything I thought and they go and send letters to an adress that I’ve asked them not too me and my family don’t get on at all

RebelWitchFace · 29/11/2018 20:28

Just to check I'm getting this.
You fucked up. In the meantime you rang and emailed and went through the steps to have the address on record changed. They confirmed. Then a payment faulted so they sent a letter but it was to the old address?

Hezz · 29/11/2018 20:32

It's quite hard to say unless we know what it is

Paddington23 · 29/11/2018 20:45

Yes months later they sent the letter I’ve changed adress 3 times as I didn’t feel that they had done it the 1st Time

RebelWitchFace · 29/11/2018 20:49

Have they sent any mail at all to your new address?

Tbh since your issue with them is about breach of privacy I'd ring them and say just that. If you have confirmation of requesting change of address even better. Something went wrong or someone fucked up but they should be pulled up on it.

Paddington23 · 29/11/2018 20:54

No mail to new adress either
