What do you do when Santa can't find that obscure toy on the list....

Dds Letter to Santa has only three things on it - obscure equestrian girls play sets that I can find anywhere.

Dd has already said she doesn't believe Santa is real anymore (she's six and sadly other school kids have destroyed that fantasy...).
Do I just come clean and ask her to pick three from amazon instead?

Various family members want to get her presents so she'll have other things too (far too many in my view but it's hard to stop other people buying gifts).
Am stumped what to do...

Tell her Santa isn't sure what she means and can she help you find a link (preferably on Amazon?)

Puzzledandpissedoff · 29/11/2018 14:03

What do you do? Post what it is on here ... the power of Mumsnet will almost certainly find one for you Wink

CatchIt · 29/11/2018 14:16

What's she asked for? Some tack shops have horsey toys, a few of my local ones do.

I'd have a look on eBay to see if I could get one, if not I would buy her something else I thought she would love.

I might also leave a Smyths catalogue lying around in the hope of getting her interested in something else.

Or Lottie doll type thing?
Argos used to do little dolls with ponys but can’t find them on there now

Its the Hasbro Equestria Girls stuff but dd is very specific on which sets:
Eq Girls mini Rarity Seaside playset and same for Twilight Sparkle Eq Girl.

The problem is she's seen this stuff in the Eq Girls magazine but I don't think its available in the UK.

It was easier when all she wanted was Lego.

The people I linked above also do one called "rarity" ... is that different to the "seaside" one or are they part of the same title somehow?

Is it this one? I haven't found it in stock anywhere but the name is slightly different which might help you with searching

Sorry crossed post

dameofdilemma · 29/11/2018 15:44

TeenTimesTwo - I think I might be doing that!
Santa uses Amazon rather than Elves in his workshop. Perfectly reasonable Grin

itswine - yup reckon that's it.
Can't wait till she just wants TopShop vouchers and money.

Try Amazon.de, you'll pay a small fortune for postage but if you're really desperate it looks like they have some equestria stuff on there?

Nunyabusiness · 29/11/2018 16:13

Hmm not the beach stuff - ignore me

Nunyabusiness · 29/11/2018 16:25

The rainbow dash beach set is £11 on the entertainer website, if that's any good as a compromise?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 29/11/2018 16:26

From the Hasbro site, here's a link which gives all those who supposedly sell the "lounge" set ... would it help to search their sites directly?

In our house Santa doesn't watch TV or use the internet but the elves do. They do a lot of the toy-finding so they need links. Santa does the delivery and distribution.
