Does anyone know what this is?

A while ago I read the diary of a woman in the Edwardian (?) Era who underwent surgery (think it was a breast removal) and document e her experience. It was linked from a post on here and would really be useful for a creative writing piece I'm working from on. Anyone have a clue who wrote it and what it was?

Thank you.

Fanny Burney wrote about her mastectomy, early Victorian era rather than Edwardian.

What was the purpose of their surgery. Did they know? Was it for treatment or cosmetic? Was it pioneering or backstreet?

@Bloodybridget, thank you. That's the lady. Very brave, wasn't she?
