On my account?? Or would I need to pay for a 2nd prime account for her? I've googled but can't find any info! Thanks Smile

Yes. It doesn’t come set up so it doesn’t matter who buys it.

Yes , I’ve been gifted two. No problems

PlaymobilPirate · 28/11/2018 21:54

Thank you! Could we listen to different music at the same time in our different houses though?

Yes. You just need to consider the music source. You don’t need to be a Prime member to use Alexa.

I don't think your mum needs a Prime account to use Alexa, just an Amazon account. So you could sign her up and she could use her own account.

If there's benefits to having a Prime account and Alexa, maybe consider adding your mum to your Amazon Household if you don't already have a second adult on the account. Not sure of the details or benefits for Alexa (we have a Google Assistant)

We have an alexa and no prime account.

Thank you! We font have a 2nd adult on our account - that might be the easiest way to do it. We dont have Spotify or anything!

If you do add her @PlaymobilPirate check that you're not sharing payment details etc and what your mum can see (not sure of the details but worth looking into).

We do have Amazon Household with me, DH and DD on it. I'm not sure what DH can see of my stuff though. It does't really matter to me, but depending on what your order Grin you might not want your mum seeing that.

Haha! My mum can't even send a text never mind browse online or look at my buying history 🤣

Make sure she wants it. There was a thread about Alexa here recently and some people were very concerned about it listening in on them etc and no way would they have it in the house.

PlaymobilPirate · 28/11/2018 23:02

She's after something better to listen to music in the kitchen. She's just got a CD player at the moment. She'd not worry about it listening in I don't think.
