I had planned to make this on the day that Mumsnet stopped deleting old Chat threads, as a small petty protest into it's permanency but totally forgot Blush

Anyway, these pictures will be here to remain, forever. What do you consign to these hallowed halls for prosperity?

I offer, the Mumsnet Classic - Terry. RIP.

I'm going to add this one. It might seem really random!

A few years ago, on the BBC Weather website I saw this photo of an ice spike 'growing upwards' out of a bird bath. I started a thread asking how ice spikes formed. Some ... erm ... 'kind' MNer chose to patronise me about how (downward) icicles were formed - I could almost hear the sneering on her post.

Fortunately lots of other kind MNers described the physics of upward ice spikes growing, which was my original question!

I'm still semi-seething a few years later - not really - but just wanted to put this to rest!!!!!!!

Someone explain the safe please

Heuschrecke · 03/12/2018 19:32

There was a thread last year (?) about some Victorian safe which the OP, found in her house (?), but never got around to opening. Or if she did, she'd didn't bother to return to the thread to say what was in it. People got veeeerrrryyy bored with the whole thing in the end.

Shock

The worst bit about the whole 'Victorian safe' thread as I remember was the fact that the OP was in Australia and the time differences were a bit of a problem. We did get some photos of a guy safe cracker in jeans though.
