This week I had 3 kitchen blinds to get rid of - 6ft, 4ft, and 2 ft. A lady contacted me to ask if she could have them and wanted to collect yesterday. Fine, no problem.
I didnt check my emails until later to find 2 from her-
1st one - She said she was on the bus and could I meet her at the town bus stop with them??!
2nd one - She was a few mins away from the stop if I could meet her at the stop so she didnt have to get off the bus!!

A 6ft blind plus 2 others with all the attachments and I am meant to walk to the town bus stop with them so she doesnt have to Grin Grin had to laugh but people want it all dont they!

Where I am public transport does legitimately suck but I live on a main bus route so it is possible to get here. I always get folk demanding I deliver as they couldn't possibly get here ... and more of a problem they want it for free at a time to suit them.

No you lazy CF I won't spend my evening driving to you for free for the thing you "desperately" need when you haven't even said please! Often they could walk it if they were really desperate.

I advertised a (very nice but outgrown) swing set on my local Freecycle. I got a message, “ive tole my little boy he cn ave this ill pick it up 2morro”

Haha no. The swing set went to someone who said please and asked when collection would be convenient. Now you can tell your little boy that rudeness gets you nowt.

And I’ve had the ones that say, “ill take it but you ave 2 deliver becos i cant drive ok ring me on 07… n ill tell u were” too. They, also, were disappointed.

Wow - is there no end to people's rudeness!! Ruddle you mean you wont give them it for free AND deliver Grin

Seriously, why do some think it is acceptable to tell their son they can have your swing set ThatLibraryMiss Shock

We put a dishwasher on freecycle that we had got ourselves off there and didn’t have room for. Put plenty of pics and thorough description but then the lady who turned up was inspecting and umming and aahing about it. Even her BF was a bit Hmm at her - it’s free FFS if you want to pick the exact one you want get down to Curry’s!!

ScrantonTheElectricCity · 28/11/2018 21:06

Perhaps she was expecting more choice if next time you could oblige Magstermay 😃

I advertised some odds and ends on a Facebook free cycle group and had a woman commenting ‘mine’ underneath them, no please/thank you etc. I donated the items to the polite nice person who sent me a message (as requested in the ad). Then I was contacted by an admin who told me I HAD to give my item to the person who contacted me first regardless! And suggesting that I make amends with Ms ‘mine’ by giving her first refusal on my next items. I told him he HAD to be kidding!
