Hi, my son is 10weeks old he's been really good with his feeds since I stopped bf at 3 days old due to it not suiting both of us, he's a very hungry baby and takes 6oz and has about 6-8 bottles in 24hrs.
I was concerned about him Being very sicky it's like a cycle and never ends so I took him doctors and they put him on gaviscon infant he's been on it for 3 days now, however this isn't helping the poor boy☹ he's also been very fussy while feeding for the last week or so to the point he's crying and it's stressing us both out, he pulls away then crys for more food or carries while drinking then stiffens up😭 I'm at a loss as to what's going on with my little boy ive read about milk intolerance and allergy and he does show signs ie( rash, vomiting, diarrea, fussy feeding) ect but getting the doctors to listen to me is like trying to get blood out of a stone☹ is there any advice you wonderful people can give me to help my lo out I'm a ftm and Doing it all myself so I'm exhausted from battling with ds to eat☹ he's not lost any weight he was born 8lb 2oz and at 8 weeks he was 11lb 5oz so I think that's why I'm not being listened to but it honestly is a constant battle. help😂😭

If he has signs of dairy issues please keep pushing your gp and see if they will try him on dairy free formula

Has he been checked for a tongue tie? My DD had all those symptoms and turned out that was the cause. The rash could suggest an intolerance though. Worth ruling out a tongue tie though.

You can buy dairy free formula now in supermarkets i think. If you think that might be the cause, maybe buy a tub and try him on that for a week. if his symtoms improve, you can then go back to the doctor, and get it on prescription (i think).
keep a diary of feeds size and when, plus when hes sick, and type or bowel movement etc so you can show doctors

Infacol, Dr browns anti colic bottles and making sure all his wind was up (found tummy time really helped bring up any stoubern wind) helped my ds trimendasly.

Queryd colic and or silent reflux for a while had infant gaviscon too but found trouble dissolving it as kept blocking the teat.

He is so much better after the change of bottle
