Did anyone watch? He was brilliant.

He's still got it.

Didn’t see it but agree he’s lovely. Aged like a fine wine Grin

Sparklingbrook · 28/11/2018 09:49

It's on Iplayer if you have a spare half hour, and you can zip through the random short films of other stuff. Grin

Love him!

Sparklingbrook · 28/11/2018 09:50

Does anyone know when the TV programme with him playing a policeman in Lincolnshire is on?

OP posts:
SylviaAndSidney · 28/11/2018 09:51

I’m sure I’ll be able to find a half hour somewhere, to fit him in Grin

SylviaAndSidney · 28/11/2018 09:51

Ooh haven’t heard of that one...

CryptoFascist · 28/11/2018 09:53

Love him in Parks and Recreation too, he's so watchable

FlibbertyGiblets · 28/11/2018 09:57

Have googled release date for Wild Bill but nothing found. Filming has just started.

Sparklingbrook · 28/11/2018 09:59

Thanks Flibberty I was half expecting it to have been and gone and I missed the whole thing.

Aged very well.

Sparklingbrook · 28/11/2018 10:00

The thing I loved about last night's One Show was that he was the only guest, which hardly ever happens.

The hosts seemed to be really enjoying it and so did he.

Sometime The One Show is so cringey and unwatchable because the guests don't know what's going on.

He's got that thing where he is genuinely engaged in the conversation with the other person - always an attractive trait.

Samcro · 28/11/2018 10:02

he was so lovely.....aged well

Sparklingbrook · 28/11/2018 10:03

I wish all chat show guests were as good as him Weezol. Not like the ones that they have to prize information out of.

He is so gorgeous and funny, loved that One Show.

TheSpottedZebra · 28/11/2018 10:09

Blimey, I thought he seemed like a self absorbed twat! And thought that the boasting about being able to drive at 100mph and be let off due to his fame didn't go down at all well with the hosts.

And how quickly we forget his sex tape - goading two 16 yos into having a drunken threesome and filming them?

Sparklingbrook · 28/11/2018 10:15

The sex tape thing was 30 years ago so not really that quickly.

I don't think for a minute he was serious about the speeding, all actors are self absorbed to a certain degree.

Hi autobiographies are fascinating and well worth a read.

thighofrelief · 28/11/2018 11:00

I admire how firmly behind him he has put his addictions. Plus such a long marriage. I feel sorry for his wife not being as photogenic as him. In some photos she's lovely whereas others she's like the rest of us. Whereas Rob, never seen a bad photo. My M&D were like that, M looked shit in pictures and D like a god despite her being better looking IRL. Pissed her off no end

DreamingofSummer · 28/11/2018 11:00

Sam Seaborn could have my body if he asked nicely.

TheSpottedZebra · 28/11/2018 11:03

Ah, got it. We just brush off sexual consent issues if they were decades ago, and also if the perpetrator is judged to be hot. Clear on that.

MadisonAvenue · 28/11/2018 11:03

Must look for this on iPlayer.
I was a teen in the 80s but I never saw the appeal of him but then came Parks & Rec and I have to say that he was brilliant in that and Chris Traeger is one of my all-time favourite TV characters.

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 28/11/2018 11:04

His autobiography is worth a read too. He comes across as a pleasant (if not massively intellectual) guy, who feels he has not quite met everyone's expectations.

And he certainly is a fine looking man.

Sparklingbrook · 28/11/2018 11:06

What do you want to happen to him TheSpottedZebra? Nobody is brushing anything off, just discussing Rob Lowe on the One Show last night.

What happened 30 years ago happened and nothing can change that, he seems to have sorted himself out in the intervening years.

I only caught the last 10 minutes but right at the end with him playing the sax? Wow!! Took me right back to St Elmo's Fire Grin. Can anyone confirm if he was actually playing or if he was miming?
