I've bought OH a tracksuit for Christmas it's an expensive Italian one they had no smalls in stock so I had to get medium.
They fit me but I have really long legs.

Can they be taken up and do they cut them?

What does the hem look like? does it have a cuff or is there a zip up the side of the leg? Who is they that's going to take them up?

Yes they’d have to be cut to taken up, and a zip in the side makes this much harder because they’ll need to remove the whole zip and then put it back in further up, or possibly a whole new zip. I speak as a short person who things are often too long for - making these shorter is more hassle than it’s worth

The smalls would also probably have been the same length. These things are usually a set length, it’s just the waist and legs that get bigger or smaller width ways

Yeah there the same length as small just checked the size guide.
Oh dear he's gonna have to grow a few inches Grin

The other problem is the tapering at the bottom. As the leg is taken up the hem becomes wider than it should be so the whole leg would gave to be tapered to reflect the tight fit the legs have at the ankles.

Tell him to roll the waist band over a couple of times Grin
