Just watched the bbc programme - she is such an inspiration. I remember watching her comeback on The Tube and being blown away. She talks about the domestic violence she suffered when she was with Ike, and the film 'I Tina' is always upsetting but brilliant. Such a star - for a black woman to be successful in an era that didn't recognise black people as real people is a phenomenal achievement.
