and other questions...

I'm watching Moana for the 100th time
Why doesn't she get cold at night, or when she falls into the water?

When a film starts with a full on sex scene
And
When film starts and its all "bang bang bang" with guns straight away!

bluebell2017 · 27/11/2018 14:12

When the whole thing is set in semi-darkness.

When they explore a garage or basement or whatever and never switch on the light or use a torch.

When someone has cooked a meal and a character takes a single bite on their way out.

SneakyGremlins · 27/11/2018 14:17

the lack of gay people

Empty cups. Not saying hello or goodbye on the phone.

harleyquinnx · 27/11/2018 14:26

Perfect hair and make up in the morning.

Lack of actually good horror films where people don't just run round in the dark.

BorisAndDoris · 27/11/2018 14:29

Horror movies trying to make us sick rather than scared. I love a good gory horror film but they're getting a bit much these days. They have the gore but not the scare.

ByeGermsByeWorries · 27/11/2018 14:30

Pointless sex scenesConfused

SneakyGremlins · 27/11/2018 14:42

And following on from that - the weird L Shaped bedsheets that leave his muscles exposed but just cover her tits.

FoonaLagoonaBaboona · 27/11/2018 14:46

I came on to say empty cups @SneakyGremlins best me to it, and pretending to drink their empty liquid looks ridiculous

FoonaLagoonaBaboona · 27/11/2018 14:47

*beat me to it

WhoisyourDaddyandwhatdoeshedo · 27/11/2018 14:47

that transfomers film that had the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley woman in it...think it was number 3? fell through dozens of buildings but at the end she was immaculate, looked like she was fresh from 8hrs sleep and not a scratch on her?

and yes, the whole waking with a face full of make-up, its not a film but i love watching king of queens and the character "carrie" always wakes up/goes to bed with full face of smokey eye makeup!

Wingbing · 27/11/2018 14:47

I can sometimes spot when actors are drinking out of empty cups.

Also, when a house guest has to sleep on the sofa or floor despite having a massive house.

WineGumption · 27/11/2018 14:49

Full on snogging the minute they wake up or lying there gazing at each other and talking with faces about an inch apart.

Morning breath full in the face? No thanks.

tinselfest · 27/11/2018 14:51

Night scenes - there's always a fox barking in the background.
Horse scenes - they never get the sound effects to match the hoofbeats properly.
When it's raining, it always has to be a thunderstorm, not just your regular drizzle.
Suitcases - you can tell they are empty by the way they are being carried.

emwithme · 27/11/2018 14:51

When people drive anywhere (without paying enough attention to the road) and Oh Surprise a parking space right outside whichever city centre restaurant they want to eat in.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 27/11/2018 14:53

Luther always finds a parking space right where he needs it.
The programme is set in London, it should consist of 55minutes of driving round looking for a space

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 27/11/2018 14:56

When someone follows another car through a busy city without the front driver noticing, or back driver losing him.
It's impossible.
I've tried allowing someone without a sat Nav to follow me, and it's really hard. You're constantly asking your passenger "are they still there?"

SneakyGremlins · 27/11/2018 14:59

Get in a taxi - "FOLLOW THAT CAR"

Then they get out without paying Hmm

BeatriceJoanna · 27/11/2018 15:06

When characters go in/out and don't shut or lock the door. It makes me twitch and then I miss the next bit of action because I'm worrying about the sodding unlocked door.
It used to happen with cars too but nowadays I'm not so concerned about that because there's central locking.

Also nobody on a computer ever seems to have to wait for a page to load. Their broadband must be better than mine. Hmm

SneakyGremlins · 27/11/2018 15:08

I mean to be fair I don't have to wait for pages to load but good point RE doors - like in Friends! They all just wander into each other's apartments.. so could a stranger!

squashyhat · 27/11/2018 15:13

The sound of crickets in night scenes set in the UK.

BorisAndDoris · 27/11/2018 15:19

Ooh I've just been reminded of one that my DD picked up on. It's a tv series not movie but annoying all the same. Main character of Grimm isn't getting on with his missus. He's being nice and sleeps on the couch. He eventually goes to stay with a friend as he's sick of sleeping on the couch.

DD wondered why he didn't just sleep in the spare room of their two bed house. It was empty. No kids, no guests.

MartaHallard · 27/11/2018 15:21

When the plane or train is ready to leave, but somehow the characters still have time for long goodbye speeches. One day it will leave without them.

Yes, Rick and Ilsa, I'm looking at you!

ILoveDaveGrohl · 27/11/2018 15:23

The way they all sit in their houses with no blinds or curtains closed at night

Stringofpearls · 27/11/2018 15:24

Nobody ever needs a wee, or catches their pocket on the door handle.

Printerneedsink · 27/11/2018 15:26

They rarely need the loo, or to eat and drink regularly.
